The life you keep saving

You do not want to look at one more beautiful summer night on a screen. You want to be inside one.

You have been meaning to have people over all summer.

Not a big production. Just a table outside, a few people you love, and an evening that lingers because no one wants to leave.

You've saved the photos. The long table under string lights. The candles. The lemons. The lake. And every time you see one, you think: I want my life to feel like that.

A slower, more beautiful version of your actual life. One where you are not just creating the moment... you are in it.

But then the planning starts. Too many recipes. A long grocery list. A full day of prep. Dishes before anyone arrives. And the quiet sense you will spend the night in the kitchen while everyone else gets the good light.

So the dinner stays saved instead of lived.

And now it is August. The evenings are shifting. The calendar is filling. And the summer you meant to savor is slipping quietly away.

The night you get to live

The last warm night of the summer.

It is six o'clock and the light has gone gold. The table is already set, because you did it this morning in ten minutes. There is a pitcher sweating on the end of it and a board of good things to pick at, and neither one needs you to do anything else to them.

People arrive and pour their own drinks. Dinner comes out on one platter. It looks like you tried, and it took you thirty-five minutes.

The sun drops. Somebody lights the candles. The conversation moves from the table to the chairs and nobody checks the time. Dessert is something you bought, on a pretty plate, and no one knows the difference.

And you are sitting down. In it. Not refilling, not scrubbing, not narrating what is coming next. Just there, in the last good light of the season.

This is the part the photos never show: a beautiful night only feels beautiful if you get to be there for it.

You do not need a different house, an entire free weekend to prep or a natural talent for hosting. You need a plan that makes the atmosphere feel effortless and leaves room for you inside the evening.

The live experience

Before Summer Slips Away

A live, 60-minute planning experience that turns the summer night you have been saving into a real date, a real invitation and a plan that works in your actual life.

This is not a cooking class and it is not a lesson in performing perfect hospitality. It is a vibes-first method for creating atmosphere, simplifying the food and planning the evening around your experience as much as everyone else's.

We will make the decisions together on August 27. Before you leave, you will have chosen your date, your guests, your menu and the feeling you want to create.

Then you will join every woman in the workshop in bringing her night to life before Labor Day.

  • Thursday, August 27 at 11:00am Pacific
  • A live Zoom call with about 60 minutes of teaching, planning and live action, plus Q&A
  • Replay included with the All-Access Seat
  • Invitations sent before we leave the workshop
  • Built for the kind of small, beautiful gathering that can actually happen

What we will do together

Five decisions between the saved photo and the night you actually live.

01

Choose the vibe you want to step into

We begin with where you want the evening to transport you, not just how you want it to feel. Are you in Sorrento, Italy at a long lemon-lit dinner table? A quiet cabin by the lake with the windows open and candles flickering? A warm backyard that feels like a tucked-away courtyard somewhere in the Mediterranean?

Once you know the world you are stepping into, every other decision becomes simpler.

02

Create the scene that carries the night

Set the scene with intention: think beyond the table and into the full experience. We'll look at how lighting, music, and a few simple, thoughtful details work together to shape the feeling of the night. You'll learn how to create a clear "this is the moment it begins" atmosphere... without turning yourself into the production crew.

03

Build a menu that feels special without taking over

Think you need to spend the whole day prepping? You don't. I help you build a simple, intentional menu based on a theme and a few repeat ingredients so everything feels cohesive without extra work. One batched drink, one appetizer that's ready ahead of time, one main that carries the meal, and a dessert you either buy or make in advance. Then we use the Repeat Ingredient Rule so your shopping stays simple, your prep stays minimal, and everything still feels thoughtful and put together.

04

Plan the evening around your experience too

This is about making sure you are actually part of the night you are creating, not just the one making it happen. We will set things up in a way that protects your presence from the start, so when the evening arrives, you are not pulled away from it... you are fully inside it.

05

Put it on the calendar and make it real

You will choose your date, make your guest list and send the invitation before the workshop ends. No returning the idea to the someday list. When we leave, your summer night will officially be happening.

The menus

Choose the summer night you want to step into.

This is not about recreating someone else's perfect dinner. It is about choosing the version of summer you want to live before the season ends.

During the workshop, we will build The Golden Hour Supper together, from the first drink to the moment the candles are lit.

You will also receive three more complete directions, each designed to create a different kind of end-of-summer evening. Choose the one that feels most like the life you have been wanting to step inside.

Each menu follows the same simple formula, reuses a small group of ingredients, and keeps most of the work out of the hours when your guests are actually there. Every one is easy to make vegetarian, and every drink works alcoholic or not.

Included

Everything you need to take the beautiful summer night out of Pinterest and into your life.

The Live Planning Experience

We will learn, choose and plan together on August 27. You will finish with a real evening on the calendar, an invitation sent and the decisions already made.

The Four-Part Menu Formula

The reusable structure behind every menu, so you can build your own once you see how it works.

Four Complete Menus

All four directions written out, with serving suggestions, make-ahead notes and the shortcuts worth taking.

Your Atmosphere Plan

Lighting, flowers, music and the arrival moment, mapped to the feeling you chose at the start.

A Realistic Prep Timeline

What to do two days out, the morning of, and the hour before, ending with the moment you stop.

The Replay

Included with the All-Access Seat, so you can catch anything you missed and return to the feeling-first method every time you want to create another night like this.

The real point

The goal is not to recreate the Pinterest photo. It is to feel like you finally stepped inside it.

You are not drawn to those tables because of the exact plates or the number of ingredients in the salad.

You are drawn to how you imagine it would feel to be there.

The golden light. Music playing somewhere in the background. People you love settling in instead of rushing off. Atmosphere creates that feeling. It does more emotional work than an elaborate menu ever could.

Beautiful hosting is not six impressive dishes made from scratch. It is one clear direction, a few ingredients repeated on purpose and a plan simple enough that you are still present when the candles are lit.

Because a dinner where the host never sits down is not a beautiful evening.

It is a shift.

This one is designed to have you in it.

Is this you

This workshop is for you if

  • You have a Pinterest board full of summer vibes and want one of them to finally make it into your real life
  • You crave the feeling of a long, golden summer night, not merely the look of a beautiful table
  • You are tired of creating the magic for everyone else and missing the moment yourself
  • You want to host more often but overcomplicate the food, the house or the preparation
  • You love beautiful details but need them to work in a real home, with a real schedule
  • You would rather follow one complete direction than piece an evening together from forty saved posts
  • You want to close the summer with something you were actually present enough to remember

It is probably not for you if you are looking for advanced cooking instruction, formal entertaining rules or a tablescape designed to be photographed rather than lived around.

Your host

Hi, I'm Jenna.

I’m a designer, DIY teacher and mom of three who firmly believes your home should be more than a pretty backdrop for everyone else’s life. It should be where you actually get to live yours.

I love the kind of evenings that feel straight out of a saved Pinterest board... late-summer light, good food, music playing, people you love and a table nobody wants to leave.

But I also know how easy it is to assume those nights require a free weekend, expert hosting skills and approximately three times more energy than you currently have.

They don’t.

I created Before Summer Slips Away to help you pull together the whole experience without turning it into a production. Because summer is still here, your people do not need perfection and you deserve to be inside the memory too... not just the person making it happen for everyone else.

One live beginning. One shared finish line.

We plan it August 27. You live it before Labor Day.

This workshop is being taught live, once, on August 27. It is not being added to an evergreen course library or waiting for someday.

We will make the decisions together, send the invitations and begin at the same time. Then every woman inside the experience will have until Labor Day to bring her night to life.

That shared deadline is part of what makes this different.

Because the problem was never that you did not want the dinner badly enough. The problem was that there was always more time to do it later.

There is still enough summer left for one beautiful night.

But it has to leave the saved folder and go on the calendar now.

Put My Night on the Calendar

Before you decide

Questions, answered

What date and time is the workshop?

Thursday, August 27 at 11:00am Pacific, which is 2:00pm Eastern. Plan for about 60 minutes of teaching, plus a live Q&A afterward. You will get the Zoom link by email as soon as you register.

Do I have to host on a particular night?

No. We will plan together on August 27, and you can host your gathering on any date that works for you before Labor Day. The shared window gives us a finish line while leaving enough flexibility for real schedules, travel and family life.

Do I have to share my dinner with the group?

Not at all. You will be invited to share a photo, a detail or a favorite moment, but participation is completely optional. The point is to experience the night, not perform it for anyone else.

What if I cannot make it live?

Choose the All-Access Seat. You will get the full replay, so you can watch on your own schedule and still build your plan alongside me. The Live Seat is live access only and does not include a recording.

How long do I have access to the replay?

For life. The All-Access replay does not expire, so you can come back to it every time you host, in October and again in December.

Do I need to be a confident cook or an experienced host?

No. Most of this method exists specifically because you are not trying to become one. We lean on assembly, make-ahead dishes and a few well-chosen store-bought shortcuts. If you can roast something on a sheet pan and pour a drink, you have enough.

Do I need to buy anything before the workshop?

You do not need to purchase or prepare anything before the workshop. Come with a notebook, a rough idea of a date and a sense of who you would invite. Everything else we build together in the hour.

Can the menus work for dietary needs?

Yes. Every menu is easy to make vegetarian and I will show you where the swaps go. Every drink is built to work alcoholic or non-alcoholic from the same base, so you are not making two things. Gluten free adjustments are noted in each menu.

Is this useful if I am only having a few people over?

That is exactly what it is designed for. We are planning around the kind of small gathering that actually happens, not a dinner party for twenty. The formula scales up if you want it to, but small is the point.

Is this only for end-of-summer dinners?

The menus are seasonal, but the method is not. The four-part formula, the Repeat Ingredient Rule and the host timeline work for any gathering you gather for the rest of the year.

What is the refund policy?

Because you receive all four menus and the workshop materials immediately at registration, all sales are final. If something goes wrong on our end, email me and I will take care of it.

One more good night

Summer does not have to disappear while you are busy getting through it.

It can close on purpose.

One table. One warm evening. The people you like most. Music in the background, candles burning low and a host who is not watching the whole thing happen from the kitchen.

You do not need a lake house, an empty weekend or a different life.

The life you have been saving is allowed to happen in your own backyard, on an ordinary evening, with the time and home you have right now.

The table does not have to be perfect.

The night just has to make it out of the saved folder and into your life.

Let's create one last golden evening before this season slips away.
