Workshop
October 12–16, 2026

You already know you love the look.

It’s probably sitting somewhere on your Pinterest board right now.

  • A bedroom with molding.
  • A hallway with molding.
  • A dining room that somehow looks warmer, more finished, and way less builder-basic because somebody added a few pieces of trim to the wall.

And every time you save another one, you think:

I want to do that.

Then you get to your own wall and suddenly you have questions.

  • How many boxes should I do?
  • How do I figure out the spacing?
  • What molding am I supposed to buy?
  • What tools do I actually need?
  • How do I make the cuts?
  • What if I measure something wrong?
  • What happens when my wall doesn’t look exactly like the tutorial?

That’s the part we’re doing together.

One wall One project All the steps in the right order

Your First Picture-Frame Molding Wall walks you through it, one step at a time:

  1. Plan the layout
  2. Measure + tape it out
  3. Cut + install the molding
  4. Fill + caulk
  5. Paint + finish

You don’t have to piece together six different tutorials and hope you didn’t miss the important part.

Okay, let’s do this!

Sometimes the thing that makes a room feel more interesting isn’t another thing you put in it.

It’s adding character to the room itself.

Picture-frame molding can take a plain wall and give it the kind of architectural detail you keep saving in other people’s homes.

And this workshop is here to help you stop saving it and actually make it.

Your house probably doesn’t need another:

  • basket
  • lamp
  • throw pillow
  • piece of wall art you bought because the room still felt unfinished

This is made for the “I could probably do it if someone showed me how” person.

You are in the right place if:

  • you love DIY projects but still consider yourself a beginner
  • you’ve had molding walls saved forever and haven’t attempted one yet
  • you’re worried your first attempt will look obviously DIY
  • you like having someone to ask when your project doesn’t perfectly match the tutorial
  • you want your house to feel warmer, more personal, and less plain
  • you’ve caught yourself thinking, “I’m not really handy.”

You do not have to already know how to do this.

That would make the workshop a little unnecessary. 😉

Hi, I’m Jenna.

I’m an interior designer, DIYer, mom of three, and the creator of Curated & Cozy.

I love projects that add character to a home, but I also know how quickly a DIY can start feeling like a lot when you’re trying to figure out every step at once.

So for this workshop, I’ve broken the process down into clear, manageable steps you can tackle one day at a time. You’ll see the process in my own home, with the steps laid out in the order they actually need to happen.

Picture-frame molding is one of my absolute favorite DIY projects because while it looks impressive, it’s actually very beginner-friendly. You don’t even need a saw to cut the trim!

I know how valuable it is to have someone to ask as you’re working through your first DIY project, and that’s exactly what I’m here for!

So if you’ve been wanting to get started but have been waiting for the right time, this is it, my friend.

Here’s what we’re doing together.

Day1

Choose your wall + plan the layout

Before we cut anything, we figure out what you’re actually making.

You’ll work through:

  • choosing the wall
  • thinking through your layout
  • planning the molding placement

Because “I think this looks right?” is much easier to deal with before the molding is attached.

Day2

Measure + tape it out

This is where your idea starts looking like an actual plan.

We’ll cover:

  • measuring
  • calculating spacing
  • laying out the design
  • taping it onto the wall first

So you can stand back and look at the proportions before committing to the install.

Day3

Cut + install the molding

Now we start building.

You’ll see the process for:

  • cutting the molding
  • getting the pieces ready
  • installing them on the wall
Day4

Fill + caulk + troubleshoot

The molding is up. Now we deal with the stuff between “installed” and “finished.”

Including:

  • filling
  • caulking
  • troubleshooting common issues

AKA: the part Instagram tends to fast-forward through.

Day5

Paint + finish

We’ll finish the wall and cover:

  • painting
  • finishing details
  • common mistakes to watch for

And then you get the very satisfying experience of looking at a wall that used to be plain and knowing:

I made that.

Important: You do not have to finish this in five days.

Five days = the lesson schedule.

It does not mean you need to rearrange your entire life and complete a wall by Friday. You can:

  • follow along daily
  • take longer between steps
  • catch up over the weekend
  • finish after the lesson week
  • rewatch the lessons later

Instructor + community support runs through October 25, 2026.

So yes, real-life schedules are allowed here.

Here’s everything included for $37.

What $37 is really getting you

Yes, you’re learning how to make a picture-frame molding wall. But you’re also learning what happens between:

“I want that.”

and

“I made that.”

You’ll understand how to:

  • turn the inspiration into a layout
  • turn the layout into actual measurements
  • preview it before installing anything
  • work through the build one step at a time
  • finish the details that make the project feel complete
  • know where to bring questions when something doesn’t look quite right

And when another DIY idea catches your eye later?

You’ll at least have one finished project behind you reminding you that you’re more capable of figuring this stuff out than you thought.

a little bonus

You also get a free month of Curated & Cozy.

Because the wall is only the beginning. 😉

Curated & Cozy is where I talk about the bigger picture of creating a home that feels warm, personal, lived-in, and really freaking good to come home to.

Think:

  • how to make your house feel like the cozy movie home you keep saving
  • how to turn a chaotic Pinterest board into an actual plan for your room
  • how to add character to a builder-basic house
  • the renovation decisions I’d make differently now
  • ways to make ordinary nights at home feel a little more special
  • DIY and design ideas that work in the house you actually live in

It’s part design, part DIY, part “how do I make our actual everyday life at home feel more like the life I keep picturing?”

Because yes, we’re making the house prettier.

But we’re also making the rainy-night reading spot.

The kitchen everyone hangs around in.

The room you actually want to stay home in.

The kind of ordinary Tuesday your kids might remember someday.

Your workshop includes one free month of paid Curated & Cozy.

Picture walking into the room and loving how it feels.

The wall has character.

The room feels warmer, more finished, more like you.

You turn on the lamp, grab a blanket, sit down, and instead of thinking:

“I still need to do something with this room…”

you think:

Ohhh. This feels like home.

And the best part?

You made it happen.

This is exactly what I need!

FAQs

Is this beginner-friendly?

Yes.

This workshop is designed for someone tackling this type of project as a beginner. You do not need previous DIY experience to enroll.

What tools and materials do I need?

In terms of power tools, you only need a nail gun. The rest of the supply + tool list will be sent before the workshop.

Tools and materials are purchased separately.

How much should I budget for supplies?

This will depend on the size of the wall, what you already have, etc.

However, I recently purchased my materials and supplies for between $100–$200.

Do I have to finish in five days?

Nope.

The five days refer to the lesson schedule. Lessons run October 12–16, and you can complete your project at your own pace.

Instructor and community support run through October 25.

What if I miss the live Q&A?

No problem. The Q&A will be recorded.

You can also submit your questions and photos ahead of time. I’ll still go through them on the call, so you can catch my answers in the recording.

Can I submit a picture of my wall?

Yes.

Submit your questions and wall photos ahead of time, then jump on the live Q&A call, where I’ll go through all of them.

You can also post them in the workshop community any time during the support window. I’ll be popping in there too.

How long can I watch the lessons?

You’ll have access to the lessons, resources, and recordings for the lifetime of the course. That means for as long as I continue offering and hosting the course.

Can I enroll now and do the project later?

Yes.

You can work through the project at your own pace and revisit the workshop materials for the lifetime of the course.

The only thing to keep in mind is that live instructor + community support runs October 12–25.

You can save another molding wall.

Or you can finally make yours.
